  • David Carter

    David Carter

David spent his formative years growing up in the Lincolnshire countryside and at the age of 19, the lure of the capital brought him to London, which is more or less where he has remained. He now lives in Thames Ditton, Surrey with his favourite people; his four children and his wife Julika, who teaches media and film studies.

David is a bit of a music aficionado, having previously owned a record shop and also providing DJ support between live bands at the now legendary (but sadly defunct), Retford Porterhouse. He is also never without a book and has what he describes as “an unhealthy interest in politics and economics”, finding them both to be simultaneously fascinating and annoying!

In his own words, “I get on with almost everyone, but I’m not quite as laid back as people sometimes think I am! I love socialising, though have trouble fitting it in, but somehow still do!”

David has two brothers. His older brother, Jason, is an actor who now lives full time in the USA. He has an extensive CV but is best known for playing Marcus Cole, in the sci-fi series Babylon 5. He has also had guest spots on a number of TV shows, including ‘3rd Rock from the Sun’ and ‘Beverley Hills 90210’. David’s younger brother, Stuart, runs a successful carpentry business in Cornwall, specialising in hand built bespoke green oak timber framed building projects. He has also completed specialist commissions along the way, some of which are displayed within the Eden Project in Cornwall.

    David’s Specialities:
As well as his overarching responsibility to the running of both Keystone businesses, David is well versed across a number of business areas. His key focus is as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser. He feels it is important he understand all the issues which advisers and clients face, in what is an ever-changing economic and regulatory landscape.

    Charity Involvement:
In September 2010, David cycled from London to Paris over 3 days and personally raised over £2,000 for ‘Together for Short Lives’, a charity that provide support and care to children who are not expected to ever reach adulthood. He also climbed the three peaks of Britain (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowden) in 24 hours in June 2012, raising over £800 for Princess Alice Hospice, who provide free end of life care to adult patients and support for their families and friends. David also supports a number of charities, including Oxfam and Macmillan Nurses.
